Retired
Fireman, Paramedic, Engineer, College football fan and
doting Granpa! I started painting as a hobby, taking a
class with instructor Roberto Quintana in Monrovia when
he had to move. He decided on “Fine Artists Factory”,
a “new facility in Pasadena” he said. Well,
that move has turned my days as a sometime painter into
a passion.
Mark Wood and the members of FAF have made it possible
for this newcomer to gain knowledge and insight into the
world of fine art. With instruction from Roberto, Ernie
Marjoram and John Paul Thornton, passionate and dedicated
teachers and artists, I feel I’m on my way to a
great new adventure. I’m a new member of the Mid-Valley
Arts League in Temple City. As a relative newcomer with
skills still developing I’ve experienced a feeling
of camaraderie I hadn’t felt since my days as a
firefighter.
To paint outside alone or with a group of artists, or
to paint and study here with my new amigos at Fine Artists
Factory, that’s the “menudo soup” for
this man’s soul.
