Oil
Artist
Bio:
John took
third place in his first art contest at the tender age
of five years old. He was written up in the "New
Orleans Times" as "a most imaginative, creative
artist having used every color in the '64 Crayola Crayon'
box." He won Two Dollars. Quite a sum at that time
in his life. He quickly spent it on another box of crayons
and drew a huge mural on his family's living room wall.
It's still there behind many layers of paint. John continues
his life-long passion in art, drama and music. He holds
graduate degrees in Dramatic Art and Music. John and his
beloved wife Marcia raise "Westie" puppies.
One of their pups, "Spencer," won "Best
of Breed" two years in a row at the "Westminster
Kennel Club Dog Show" at Madison Square Garden in
New York City. "Being a member of the Fine Artist
Factory has made a big difference in my abilty to paint.
The influence and support of the other really fine artists
here is very beneficial to the creative process."
